Elevator Love Letter

I know this post might seem a bit weird, especially coming from me. But I found the need to say things, for once, on the side of the boys.

For those of you with boyfriends, this one's for you. For those of you with girlfriends, you can message me online and I'll give you my address so you can send me some money (AUD thank you because I needs it) because maybe this might make your significant other realise that's she's not appreciating who's in front of her (if you're good enough to be appreciated that is). And for those of you who are single, this might make you sad, so please don't read.

Okay I'm kidding. Don't think my writing's that good. Anyways.
Maybe put on some emo music.

OKAY.

Ever think your boyfriend's an asshole? There are things he should've done, but never did? Promised to take you to watch this movie you wanted to watch with your friends; you held out, but he watched it with the guys instead, just giving you a little 'sorry'? Didn't wait for you for lunch, but ate beacuse he was hungry?

Remember the good things.

Anniversaries? Birthdays? Valentine's? Things he went out of his way to do for you? Like pick up roses, or a box of chocolates or organise a surprise party? Forget the little things. Remember the big ones. Maybe he went clubbing without you and you were mad. Imagine if he went clubbing and picked up a girl instead. You'd be singing a different song entirely right? No more fighting, more crying. More emo-ness. So instead of being mad, just be grateful he didn't bring her home. Instead of yelling the snot out of him, maybe hug him and make him feel bad. He knows it wasn't right (right guys?). He knows he should've told you. Maybe mentioned he WOULDN'T be RIGHT back, but 5 hours later?

At least he tries. He organised a special dinner for two or a day of spoiling you only. You you you you you. We girls sometimes forget that we always make it all about me me me me me (me being yourselves in this case, and not ME). Guys secretly want to have their cake and eat it too sometimes. They like to be spoiled too! You like roses, maybe you could sit through a football match at the pub. He buys you chocolate, maybe he needs a new tee shirt. It takes two to tango.

Remember, he's got the time old tradition to uphold: girls are meant to be treated like princesses. And for those of you guys who didn't know that, we ARE. Hello! Givers of life here. But, don't forget that she's supposed to be your queen. Respect her. Cherish her. Don't take her for granted. Why do we not understand that life's too short to sweat the small stuff (yes I ripped that off)? Remember, she's still a girl for God's sake. She wants those things she says she doesn't want.

She wants those God damn flowers ONCE IN A WHILE.
She wants you to string fairy lights up all over her room and win her a huge soft toy.
She wants you to hug her from time to time and tell her she's beautiful.
She wants to hear you love her.

Just remember to tell him you love him too :)

Okay I'm done. And this post seems really weird.

"She wants you to hug her from time to time and tell her she's beautiful."
That he does!
I'd love for you to meet him if and when you come over! You'd get along famously! He met my brother last Friday, and they got along so well they practically forgot I was even there :S
